Each year, the Master Mariners come together to celebrate classic wooden boats and the people who love them. Our calendar is full of opportunities to sail, connect, and keep San Francisco Bay’s maritime heritage alive — from legendary regattas and weekend cruises to spontaneous raft-ups and festive gatherings at local yacht clubs.
Spring Fling Cruise
South Beach Yacht Club
Shake off winter and join us for a relaxed early-season cruise-in. Enjoy casual raft-ups, dockside camaraderie, and the first sailing weekend of spring on the Bay. This event coincides with the opening of the Giants baseball season and we’re exploring getting group tickets for a game.

Master Mariners Regatta

A highlight of summer featuring elegant classics and majestic schooners on the starting line. A photogenic, spirited race in one of the most beautiful corners of the Bay.
Labor Day Cruise
A relaxed three-day weekend cruise for Members and friends. Raft-ups, dinghy explorations, and long, warm evenings on the hook mark this end-of-summer tradition.
New Year’s Day Regatta & Chili Cook-off

Start the year under sail with our traditional New Year’s Day Regatta, followed by a warm and lively chili cook-off and potluck. A perfect way to welcome 2026 with good friends, good food, and a brisk breeze.
Jessica Cup Regatta

Come race among your Master Mariner friends and their classic wooden boats in the Jessica Cup - the final regatta in the Bay Championship Series!
The Jessica Cup is open to “all Classic boats of traditional design and construction with a minimum of 23 feet on deck, including those of the local Bear class, Bird class, and boats in the Spirit of Tradition class.”
