Founded in 1867 and re-established as the Master Mariners Benevolent Association and its charitable arm, the Master Mariners Benevolent Foundation, promote traditional yachting and the preservation of classic sailing craft, celebrating skilled craftsmanship and enduring stewardship.

Thank you to the fleet of classic wooden yachts that filled San Francisco Bay with varnish, canvas, and color on Saturday, May 24. From the busy start off St. Francis Yacht Club to the finish line near Treasure Island—and even a spirited Parade Course—the fleet gave spectators a day to remember. Renewing Your Membership for the 2025 Season!
Membership in The San Francisco Bay Master Mariners provides a full calendar of activities, including the New Year’s Day Regatta, the Spring Cruise, the Master Mariners Regatta, the Annual Membership Dinner, the Wooden Boat Show, the Labor Day Weekend Cruise, and other events as announced.
Membership is granted by vessel, with benefits extended to its two registered owners. All memberships are subject to Board review and approval prior to acceptance.
Annual membership runs from January 1 through December 31. Members joining in the last quarter of the year will have their dues prorated for the following year. For 2025, annual dues are $105.
