The Master Mariners Benevolent Association thanks all the Sponsors for their generous contribution and support of the 2022 Master Mariner Regatta.
During the Sponsor’s lunch Friday May 20th, several phrases kept coming up in describing the Sponsors: family business, community, the working waterfront, tradition, masters of their craft, and in business for many years. Most if not all of these attributes apply to each Sponsor!
One Sponsor summed it all up in the most straightforward way:
“My goal is to be supportive because I love wooden boats and have been impressed with the caliber of folks who belong to the MMBA.”
And we must add, “….and all those businesses and persons who support the MMBA!”
Sponsorship of the MMBA Regatta helps the Master Mariners’ efforts to foster participation in yachting and the preservation of well-designed, well-maintained traditional wooden sailing craft. It enables the MMBA to put on the Regatta, and make financial contributions toward scholarships, grants and matching funds to individuals and organizations who are keeping the traditions alive. Last year’s recipients include the Wooden Boat for Veterans Project, and passage making youth scholarships aboard the tall ship Mathew Turner and schooner Seaward.
